I’m Niraj Guhan, a high schooler who got into cloud computing, 3D printing, origami, and racket sports. I’m an AWS Certified Cloud Architect Associate and I’m always working on something.
About
I’m a high school student. I got into cloud computing pretty early and ended up earning an AWS Certified Cloud Architect Associate certification while still in school. Cloud architecture is interesting to me for the same reasons 3D printing is: you design something, it either works or it doesn’t, and you figure out why.
Outside of cloud stuff, I make physical things. 3D printing is a lot of trial and error. Origami is just pure precision, no tools, no shortcuts. Both are fun in different ways.
I also play tennis and badminton competitively. Reading the game, adjusting your strategy mid-match, not losing your head when things go wrong. It’s actually pretty similar to debugging.

Credentials
Designing distributed systems on AWS, scalable and fault-tolerant architectures, and cloud security basics. I passed this while still in high school.
What I do
3D Printing
Design it, slice it, print it, fix it when it fails. Holding something that came off a printer you set up yourself is genuinely fun. Lots of trial and error involved.

Origami
One sheet of paper, no cutting, no glue. You either fold it right or you don’t. The constraint is kind of the point and it forces you to be precise in a way that’s hard to explain.

Tennis
I play competitively. Shot selection and court positioning are what make it interesting to me. It’s fast but there’s a lot of thinking happening at the same time.

Badminton
People underestimate how technical badminton is. The shuttle moves fast, the shots are deceptive, and you have to cover the whole court. I play both singles and doubles.
